For the seasoned member, this meeting will count as a makeup if you have missed a regular meeting, but more important, come support our new members! Also, if you have a friend that is interested in knowing more about our Club, this would be a great event!! Patsy Sulak has offered her home for this meeting. Thank you Patsy!! Please bring an appetizer to share. There will be wine and other drinks provided! Hope to see you there! Debbie Gorden Membership Chair |

Save the date for a day of holiday cheer and literacy for students at Raye Allen Elementary. This is one of the great projects we approved last month. What a way to spread Christmas cheer!
Altrusa members are invited to join us on December 20 from 1-3pm to provide books, candy canes and holiday cheers to the students and teachers.
Give More HUGS needs volunteers for passing out books and read alouds with students. It would be great to have 10 volunteers on December 20.
If you have any questions, please call Traci Squarcette 254-423-4402. |

Apr. 16, 2019 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
It is time to start planning and joining committees for The 2019 Taste of the Holidays. Are you ready for a SPUD-TACULAR party? The 2019 Hospitality committee is hosting a BAKED POTATO dinner to get us STARCHED up and ready to go.
Did you know that the very first Taste of the Holidays was a baked potato luncheon? Look how far we have come. A simple meal served years ago has grown into an event that serves over 750 people with entertainment, fashion and style. Only this special group of Altrusians could plan and host an event like this. Our luncheon historically raises over $50,000 that is reinvested back into our community in projects and scholarships.
When: Tuesday, April 16th at 5:30 pm
Where: Ralph Wilson Youth Club - 1515 S 25th Street Temple

Kids Against Hunger Community Food Packaging Event Feeding Friendzy! Ok Ladies and Gents - this has been a tough project to get scheduled - location changes, date changes, etc. BUT - I think all is as it should be! Our many bumps in the road for this event have created a wonderful opportunity for us to participate in this project with our community partners to help package 100,000+ meals in one event. If you are new to Altrusa or have never participated in this project, please follow this link to see why this is one of our most BELOVED events! Please make sure to RSVP for this AMAZING project. Please wear your Altrusa T-Shirt. The media will be present. There may be an opportunity to assist with set-up earlier in the day. This will be KAG's first community wide event and they would like us to be listed as one of their major sponsors. Each participant will recieve a Feeding Friendzy T-Shirt. This is a great event to bring a potential Altrusan or your kiddos that are age 8 or older. Hope to see you all there! Julie Ruiz |
