Greeters and Accents for Altrusa Meetings

We will be assemblying 400 hygiene bags, split between female and male, for the Children's Advocacy Center of Central Texas. There will be a tour and description of the facility.  

Hopefully you can participate. 

As a way to thank the Ralph Wilson Youth Club for all ways they support our club, we are excited to volunteer at their 2nd Annual Clay Shoot. We will need to arrive by 3:00pm to receive our instructions before the event begins at 3:30pm. We will be helping will many aspects such as registration, meal service, and helping at the shooting stations. Please sign up if you are able to attend. Our members who volunteered at last year's event had a great time! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mark your calendars for the last 5th Tuesday social of the Altrusa year and you don't want to miss it!  Join us at the Grand Avenue Theater in Belton for dinner and a movie / STEEL MAGNOLIAS party with your fellow Altrusans.  We have reserved the small theater just for our group, movie is free and will begin at 6:00 p.m.  Feel free to come early and purchase food or drinks from theater cafe as they have a full-service kitchen, Starbucks coffees, Blue Bell ice cream, pizza, popcorn, candy and many more items to purchase.  Feel free to dress like your favorite Steel Magnolias character especially if it's in Blush or Bashful colors (optional)!

As part of the VITA project, Altrusans write thank you notes to the VITA volunteers. This should only take about 15-20 minutes. 

The Altrusa Annual Membership charge of $75.00 is due by June 6, 2026. 

The capability to pay via credit card through ClubRunner will become available June 1.

The breakdown of cost is:

1) Dues $75.00

2) Credit card fee $3.00

3) Late fee (charged by International) $5.00 for payments made from June 7 to July 10

4) Reactivation fee (charged by International) $10.00 for payments made after July 11

You can give me a check or cash with no fee any time between now and June 6th. Payments received after June 6 will incur the same fees as stated in 3) and 4) above. If you plan on mailing a check please ensure it is delivered to the post office by June 1 as there has been a delay in post office processing.  The check can be mailed to me at: 1631 Lacy Ridge Dr, Belton TX 76513.

Please plan to attend the 2026 Taste of the Holidays Kick Off for The Magic of Christmas!  We  are excited to share the ideas and plans for our club's ONLY fundraising event.  The money raised from our Taste of the Holidays funds out projects for the next club year and money raised from the Raffle are used to fund our scholarships.

TISD Administration Building in the Mesquite/Oak Rooms at 5:30.  Light dinner of salads and beverages will be served by the Taste Committee.

Please register to this event so that we can plan on food to be served.

We are ready to get down to business with "All Things Dreamcatcher" and need assistance from our members.  We will have future communications regarding registration volunteers - please look out for those messages from our registration GURU Debbie Fendrick.

Our first workday will be on Wednesday, June 10th all day.  Let us know your availability and we can fill you into time slots.

We will be working on everything from nametags to walkie talkies.

Location: 5th Floor of the Pediatric Specialty Clinic in the conference room just in front of where you exit the elevators.

Just like a jigsaw puzzle, our club is strongest when each person brings their unique talents, ideas, and heart for service to the table. We’ll spend the evening brainstorming exciting new project ideas, exploring committees and ways you can get involved, enjoying fellowship with friends, and sharing great food and laughter along the way. Whether you’re a longtime member or newly connected to Altrusa, this will be a relaxed and welcoming night to connect, contribute, and help shape the year ahead — one puzzle piece at a time!

Please come to our next 5th Tuesday event is at the CAC!! We will be making glass lawn/garden stakes! 

The class will be on June 30 from 6:00-8:00 PM in Wendland Hall. The cost will be $30 per person.

We will have snacks with water and tea. Please feel free to bring your own beverages if you like.

It’s time for our first Taste of the Holidays Tasting Meeting! Thank you to everyone for helping make this event a success and to Taryn for hosting this event. We can’t wait to gather and start sampling recipes for this year’s menu.

For this first tasting, we’ll focus on baked potatoes and baked potato soup as we decide whether they will be featured as the main entrée or served as a side dish. We’ll also sample a variety of breads and begin brainstorming additional menu items to complement the meal.
