SARAH DAVIDSON

I have been so busy with work and mask making that I’m just now seeing this email… I’m terribly sorry about that.

I started the process of mask making early on and was even able to score a spool of 288 yards of elastic from eBay before it became almost impossible to find. Hooray! My efforts started out small with a little help from my next-door neighbor (bridgett, the owner of extreme cheer and tumble) and then really grew when my other neighbor, Altrusan Barbara Pearcy, started helping by washing the fabric and cutting it out. Once the story hit the Temple Daily Telegram, I’ve had two ladies in temple begin to make masks. Others, including Altrusan Kelly Nicks, have contributed fabric to me… It has saved me much time to have people wash and prepare the fabric, including cutting out the pieces needed to make the masks. A special thanks goes to Monica of Custom Draperies in Belton as she allowed me to work in her studio all last week where there are tall tables that don’t break your back while you are working, LOL! My husband, Jeff, has been super supportive in every part of the effort with the exception of sitting at the sewing machine. As of today I have over 500 outstanding request for masks in the healthcare community… Those working outside of first responders and the hospital.
