This is my last newsletter to write which is a bittersweet moment for sure. The time is closing on a personally momentous year in which I've had the true honor to serve as President of Altrusa Temple. Thank you for trusting in me, supporting me, and encouraging me along the way. I will cherish the memories made this year, the friendships that have grown and the incredible honor it's been to work alongside an incredible Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, and each and every one of you! I look forward to continuing to serve as your immediate past president.
As I reflect on all we've done together this year, I am in awe of the passion that drives this club! Your ever-growing heart for service to others in inspiring, and the love for building up leaders both in the club and in our community will have an impact for the many future chapters that unfold.
I look forward to sharing my President's report with you on Tuesday during the Installation of the new Board of Directors. Thank you for being a part of helping us write our next chapter!
Remember, Tuesday's noon meeting this week will not take place as it normally does. Instead, our Program meeting will be the Installation Dinner that evening. We will be back at RWYC in June for the next business meeting.

I'm so happy to announce that we have had 14 new members join our club this year! Some of these new members AND many of you have asked about the blue Altrusa shirt. We are going to place a new order at the beginning of June. It is optional of course to purchase! The shirt is going to look exactly the same from the front but we are adding a word cloud to the back made from the words YOU shared during our Add an Altrusan day! You will have the option of a crew or v-neck shirt. Cost is $25 and information on how to purchase will be coming out tomorrow! Please place your order before May 31st.
SUMMER SERVICE VIRTUAL RETREAT
The Celebration of 100 years of Altrusa Service in Texas continues as we move into our next century.
District Nine's ”Summer Service VIRTUAL Retreat” will be held July 8th from 10:00 am - 11:00 am via ZOOM, which will include the 100th Anniversary Video, a short program, and unveiling of the Century Book and as we kick off the next 100 years of Service in Texas.
As we head into the new club year, the Taste of the Holidays committee is in full swing. EVERYONE is invited, and encouraged, to attend the upcoming TOH kick-off meeting
June 8th at Precious Memories
5:30 p.m.
This meeting is one you don't want to miss! You'll get an overview of Julie's theme this year and a deep dive into all things "Taste!"
Including what committees you can work with, what's being discussed by menu, and more.
This effort is one that we hope to get 100% participation in as this single fundraiser is what fuels us year after year. This is how we get our project funding AND how we raise money for scholarships.
Look for a recent sign-up sent out by Carol McDuffie to bring an appetizer or beverage for this Kick-off event.
