Hello Altrusans! Our year is off to a great start! Taste of the Holidays held their kickoff at Precious Memories downtown where attendees learned all about Taste. A fundraiser for Neema Village was held on the 15th, which is a project that Altrusa has participated in for years. Look for more news soon on this front. The President's retreat was held on the 17th, and lots of ideas for projects were generated along with great discussions. With Convention around the corner, a group of Altrusans gathered to create centerpieces for this event. A big thanks to Susie Dawson for opening her home for the TOH signing and stuffing sponsorship event and to Sarah Davison, her husband and Susie for delicious food! And, last but certainly not least, we were privileged to participate in the registration for Camp Dreamcatcher after a long hiatus. It was so heartwarming to see the children head off for a week of fun!
Upcoming Events
With the July 4th holiday on Tuesday, our Board of Directors meeting will take place on July 5. Our first New Member Orientation will be held July 6 at 6:00 pm at UMHB Ferris Hall. Everyone is invited! On July 7, Family Fun Day at the CAC will run from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. See the calendar for details.
