Hello to you my fellow Altrusans!
I hope that you and yours are doing well!
At our business meeting on June 8th we approved 3 projects, so we are on our way to doing what we do best.... serving, "Touching Hearts one Note at a Time".
1. Project Appletree Hygiene Kits. We have participated in this project 15 + years. Providing hygiene kits for Helping Hands Ministry the kits will be distributed to Belton ISD students. Over the years we have provided, washcloths, bars of soap, shampoo, combs, toothbrushes, and much more. This year the kits will certainly impact the students in a positive manner.
2. Club Lamplighter and Club 21. We are proud to sponsor our club with a Lamplighter and Club 21. All funds benefit the Altrusa International Foundation. Our club has been the recipient many, many times over with grants for Camp Dreamcatcher and much more!
3. Signature Project Part 1. This project will benefit the kids at 411 House with snack bags for the month of June. The snack bag includes a bottle of gatorade, an apple, small bag of cookies, 2 bags of chips, a granola bar and a frozen crustable. The snack bags have been assembled and will be delivered on June 21st. In July we will purchase books for the Unincluded Club kids thru their Amazon wish list, we will also have an opportunity to assist the Unincluded Club kids during a camp. Stay tuned for more details. In August we will read to the children at Hope for the Hungry!
- This Tuesday June 22nd we will initiate a new member, Cathy Hussey! Cathy is sponsored by Altrusans Patsy Sulak and Debbie Mabry.
- Nine of this years Scholarship recipients will be present at our meeting!
- The program for June is Temple Children's Museum presented by Kathryn Hermans.
