CHAPTER 12:

Hello Altrusans!

We did it! We not only survived—but we conquered another Taste of the Holidays!  Congratulations on a job very well done! It was beautiful, the food was delicious and the day was full of joy.  When you see our Chairs and Committee this week, be sure to thank them for all the hard work that was put into preparing for the event! Looking forward to hearing a report from Taryn and Julie on funds raised and scholarship donations!  We all know that the members of this club come out in full force to support one another and that was shown yet again by the countless hours (well we’re keeping track) from all members who helped as well with our taste prep days and to pull off the whole event. How fun to be able to top the day off with a service project again – taking meals to the RV park at Baylor Scott & White. Thanks to the special team who helped complete this task as well.  It was an honor for me to be a part of the day. I am so proud of our club! Can’t wait to see what we’re able to do in service to our community with the proceeds!

I guess today I’m feeling full of gratitude and that’s likely due in part to the fact that it’s Thanksgiving week. This club, and each of you who help to make our club so special, are definitely things I am thankful for. I pray you all have a joyous Thanksgiving week with family and friends.
