2 Important Notes:
1) At this month's business meeting we will be slating the Nominating Committee that will be selecting the upcoming members of the club and foundation board so please be thinking about members who should be nominated to serve in this capacity. For reference, our Club policy states:
Each year, during the January business meeting, the nominating committee will be created in order to propose a slate of officers for the upcoming year. Three (3) members will serve on the committee. To serve as a member of the nominating committee, Members must have served on the Club Board for a minimum of two years. Members of the nominating committeeare not allowed to be included in the proposed slate of officers. Nominations for committee members will come from the floor; the three members with the most votes will serve on the committee and the one with the most will serve as chair.
2) If you gave books for Christmas gifts, be sure to EMAIL the total # to Sarah Davison (and all hours you've spent on the literacy project to date) so we can have an accurate account of the work we've put into this project.
January's Mystery Book Club Social is coming up on January 31st
