Happy Monday to all my Altrusa friends. I hope this week is one full of many blessings for each one of you. This newsletter has lots of information on a litany of upcoming activities so I hope you find it helpful! If you have any follow up questions please let me know or seek me out at the meeting on Tuesday!
First, Conference 2023 registration is open if you have not already heard. I encourage you all to consider attending if you've not had the opportunity before, for those of you who know - please share your experience and invite a fellow Altrusa to join you as a first-timer! You can find the link to all things conference down below.
You may have heard this year is a special one - marking Altrusa's 100th anniversary that we will be celebrating at Conference. Debbie Mabry is asking for a handful of volunteers to work with her on to help put together information for the Temple Club pages in the century book. You will get to look through our rich history saved in our club archives and help do a brief write up. Please contact Debbie if you're willing to help!
The Scholarship Committee requests that you continue spreading the word that applications are being accepted through March 31st! Applications may be found and submitted on our website at AltrusaTemple.org
Eligibility: Applicant must be a resident of Bell County or a dependent of a Temple Altrusa member, must have at least a 3.0 GPA, and must be planning to attend or is presently attending a college or university within the State of Texas.
One of the projects we will be voting on this week is support of Camp Dreamcatcher. This is a project we've supported for many years, but due to COVID, camp hasn't happened for the past few years. To help give members who've joined in the last 3 years an understanding of what the camp is, I have included a video link in the "links" section below.
And a big THANK YOU to all the volunteers who helped at the Caring Ball this weekend. You are RockStars! Lots of volunteer hours went into this project to support the Temple Community Clinic and its vision to build a healthier community!
