I hope that many of you were able to attend the District Conference Zoom Meeting on May 16th.  It was so good to see so many of Altrusans even if it was via Zoom.  I love this organization and all it stands for.   Altrusa International is an organization of giving and serving and for each of us it all goes hand in hand.

 

As the Altrusa year quickly comes to a close, we as District Nine can look back over the year and smile with the thought of all the lives we touched and communities we impacted with our many projects and grants.   Of those completed, 18 District Nine grant projects and one Club 21 grant project amounting to over $60,000,  all funded by the Altrusa International Foundation.  Now the Foundation needs us to support it.  Because of the pandemic, giving to the Foundation has significantly dropped BUT it is not to late.  The money that we donate provides for the overwhelmingly impactful grants that support children with cancer, women and children of domestic violence, the poor and malnourished, third world girls who want to go to school....and the list goes on and on.

 

SO.....How do you give:

Please consider giving $10, $25, $100 or even $500 and become a  Lamplighter, give $21 to Club 21 and support youth camps, buy a Luci Light for $20 (w/o USB) or $35 (w USB port) and support the Disaster Relief Fund or even consider a planned giving charity donation and leave a legacy to Altrusa forever.

Whatever you decide, YOU will Make A Difference and "Lead to a Better Community"!!!!!
