Altrusans will be preparing and serving lunch prior to Bingo at the Belton Senior Center on Thursday, April 18. We will have a prep day on Wednesday, April 17 beginning at 10:00 am at the Center. On Thursday, we will be serving chicken noodle casserole with salad, crescent rolls, and dessert. On Wednesday, we will be preparing the casserole and the dessert. There are lots of opportunities for volunteers:

Kids Against Hunger Community Food Packaging Event Feeding Friendzy! Ok Ladies and Gents - this has been a tough project to get scheduled - location changes, date changes, etc. BUT - I think all is as it should be! Our many bumps in the road for this event have created a wonderful opportunity for us to participate in this project with our community partners to help package 100,000+ meals in one event. If you are new to Altrusa or have never participated in this project, please follow this link to see why this is one of our most BELOVED events! Please make sure to RSVP for this AMAZING project. Please wear your Altrusa T-Shirt. The media will be present. There may be an opportunity to assist with set-up earlier in the day. This will be KAG's first community wide event and they would like us to be listed as one of their major sponsors. Each participant will recieve a Feeding Friendzy T-Shirt. Boots & Bandanas 2019, benefitting McLane Children's Medical Center, will be held at Schoepf's BBQ in Belton featuring dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions and entertainment from Jarrod Birmingham and John Michael Montgomery on Saturday, May 11, 2019 Eight Altrusans are needed to assist with the silent auction, help guests find their tables, etc. Volunteers are invited to stay for the concert and enjoy a BBQ dinner. |

Ladies and gents,
It's time once again for Camp Dreamcatcher registration which will be held on SUNDAY, June 23rd, at the TAMU entrance of S&W Hospital (same place as previous years). Various start times between 7:30am and 9AM, and everyone should be on their way home by 11:30am. We need 40 volunteers, and these spots will quickly fill so if you're interested, please register as soon as possible. First 40 responders get the jobs! We also ask that you wear an Altrusa shirt (teal blue BELIEVE or royal blue ALTRUSA) and your Altrusa Name Badge.
Really looking forward to sharing this marvelous day with you. Thank you for serving the children of Camp Dreamcatcher!

TASTE UNDERWRITNIG THANK YOU GIFT WORK DAYS Taste of the Holidays Underwriting Chairs are looking for a few people to help with the thank you gifts we send to last years underwriters. We have several tasks to accomplish listed below. 1st Meeting - Bake 12 Bundt cakes and 20 loaf pans of pumpkin cake and pumpkin bread. 2nd Meeting - Make 32 jars of Honey Pumpkin Spice Butter as well as box, bag, and decorate the items for delivery to underwriters. Volunteers to take items with them for delivery to UW’s he following day. 3rd Meeting - Meeting to help sign the underwriting letters. It helps if you know an underwriter to add a personal message to the letters before they are sent out. Here is where we need the help for the first meeting. We need to borrow about 10 Bundt cake pans If you are able to help with this please let me know by calling or testing me at 254-760-0051 or you can email me at Sharon@DupuyOxyen.com. Secondly, we need about 6 bakers to bake Monday night 7/22/19 starting at 6:00pm. We will meet and cook at Michelle DiGaetano’ s house 2715 Forrester Rd Temple. If the bakers couldbring hand mixers,measuring spoons and cups that would be a help as well. We will wrap and freeze until we schedule the 2nd meeting in this process s if you have freezer room that would be great. |

So if you cannot come to help prepare them for delivery but can show up later to take with you for delivery the next day that would be so helpful. I have attached a list of the people we need to deliver to if you can help please send me an email of who you would like to deliver to and I will put you down. Sharon & Michelle |

There will be sewing to do (bring sewing machines), as well as all the other important tasks - cutting, sealing ribbon, stringing bags, marking liners, folding shields. New attendees are welcome! Annual ACS Bra Brunch is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Funds raised are used in Central Texas to provide transportation grants to area hospitals for free rides to treatment, free wigs to cancer patients experiencing hair loss, research, & education. Volunteers will act as hostesses for the event. Wear Altrusa t-shirt. |

Come help volunteer at this unique, community event that will help raise money for an all-abilities playground to be built. All kids deserve to play! https://www.varietytexas.org/sirena-events Meet at the main HQ Tent by Barrow Brewing Company and the Tennis Courts. Volunteers from our club(s) will be assigned in different areas under the direction of the Sirena Fest and Parade volunteer staff. These areas will include parade line-up at Pace Park, directing crosswalk, directing patrons to various vendors and activities. Promoting the playground through various means during the festival, photo booth and literacy table assistance. We will send out sign up sheets, so sign up for a couple of hours working with Temple and Chisolm Trail Altrusans as well as members of our ASTRA clubs. |

Part of Make A Difference Day project. We will assemble the goody bags the senior citizens will take home after the event on October 26th, 2019. We are teaching ASTRA students how to put on a fundraiser. MOD Pizza has agreed to donate 20% of sales from ASTRA supporters for the entire day. Enjoy a great meal and support ASTRA UMHB. All funds will be used for service projects. ASTRA member will be there at 7pm if you want to hang out.
