Feb. 01, 2020 - Feb. 29, 2020
Our Altrusa sister Linda Gibson had extensive foot surgery last week and will be off her feet for a good while. Let's bless she and her husband with some meals as she recovers. The meals are for two people and her husband is allergic to bell peppers, paprika, and doesn't care for cilantro. Deliveries are welcome between noon-4pm to 4509 Lost Creek Ct., Temple, TX 76502. Her husband is home so you may knock on the door. Thank you friends for sharing some Altrusa love! Please call me if you have any questions 254-423-4402. Traci Squarcette |

Altrusans, band together to lead children to read with the Family Series of Literature in Theater at the Cultural Activities Center, Saturday.
You assisted with sponsorship of the series at the Cultural Activities Center. Saturday, Judy Moody will come alive on stage and her story will thrill the audience of families.
We hope to have a sold-out crowd. Each child will receive a FREE BOOK to take home at the end of the performance because of your sponsorship.
What can you do to support this activity? Need about 4 volunteers at 12:30 to come and put book labels in the books. I will print them and have them ready.
The doors open at 1:30 and the fun can begin. I need 4 to 6 volunteers at the theater doors and in the lobby to assist people as they look for their seats.
The show lasts about 50 minutes and then we will hand out the books.
Email marybp21@gmail.com or text 254-718-4789 to let me know that you plan to assist.

ASTRA members have chosen Families in Crisis for a project this semester. On February 25th, they are holding an Open Mic night called ASTRA Lounge to benefit this project. Students will have the opportunity to show off their talents of poetry, monologues, music, etc. One of the officers parents are providing brisket and Millers has donated the side dishes. Altrusans can get involved by donating purses or hygiene items at the next couple of meetings. |

Join us for a fun and informal evening with some of our Past Presidents of the club. They are such a wealth of knowledge and are huge assets to help us kick-off our year right. Debbie Mabry will bring water, tea, diet coke. Everyone bring a snack to share if you so choose. Also, bring those burning questions you've always wanted to ask. We found a venue! Thank you Michelle DiGaetano for making it happen! We will meet at Ralph Wilson Youth Club. They are not charging for the space but, if you feel led to make a small donation, I'm sure they will be thrilled. See you Thursday at 5:30. Traci |

We can't deny that this year will look different, but we will perservere and be stronger! In light of the current circumstances, we are trying to limit the amount of meetings this month while still honoring our traditions. You are invited to a "Members Only" Installation of Officers. President Carol White will deliver her year in review and we will install the new Board of Directors. We want to be respectful of your time so we will have a condensed agenda and anyone who would like to visit at a social distance may stay after the meeting. The Governor of Texas will determine the percentage of occupancy for this day. At the moment we would be able to accommodate 38 people. After his announcement on May 18th it could jump to 75. Please register if you plan to attend. We will be organizing a boxed lunch order and as soon as we know the capacity numbers, Julie will send those registered a link to select and purchase your lunch. We also understand if you do not feel comfortable venturing out or are vulnerable to COVID-19. Feel free to log on and Zoom: Traci Squarcette, President-Elect |
