As the damage of Harvey continues to be shown to the world, the United States is coming together to support and help rebuild the lives, homes and buildings of Houston, Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, and all other areas hit by this devastating storm. I went on an overnight trip to Fort Worth Saturday morning and it was so heart warming to see trailer after trailer and truck after truck driving south on IH-35 loaded down with water and other supplies for the victims of this storm. Many of the vehicles had messages of encouragement written on the sides. These are good people helping those in need. This is what Altrusa does each week of each month, we help those in need. It could be children or adults, financial assistance or a hand up, or just letting those know you care. Let's rally around Governor Linda Moore and show the Gulf Coast that we are here to help. |
